You’ll learn to recognise warning signs of mental ill health and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support someone while keeping yourself safe.
What’s more, you’ll gain an understanding of how to support positive wellbeing and tackle stigma in the world around you.
This course teaches in depth skills for providing first aid to people experiencing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety disorders and psychosis.
Creating this menopause course was inspired by my own experiences and the challenges many of us face during this phase of life.

I found Giano extremely professional and approachable; she instantly put me at my ease. Her delivery of the course was excellent; she explained each section in detail and was happy to revisit certain points and answer any questions that we had.I have found the content of the course very useful and informative; it will really help me in future conversations that I have with people, either in the work place or with friends and family, regarding mental health. It has given me the confidence to know how to approach conversations correctly. Giano helped me realise that self-care is equally as important as helping others. I would happily recommend Giano and the course to anyone who meets with people on a day to day basis.
Giano was absolutely incredible and although the subject matter was heavy and difficult at times, it was led in a manner that was easy to digest and thought of the learners mental health. Thank you so much for an insightful and engaging session. I feel confident and comfortable with being a MHFA and this is down to Giano.
Giano was a great course leader. She made the live sessions engaging and shared lots of great tips for when supporting individuals with mental health issues. Giano’s passion for MHFA is evident through her teaching and I would highly recommend Giano to others who may be interested in completing the MHFAider training.
Thank you to Giano for the MHFA training, your expertise and compassionate approach made the course invaluable. Your ability to create a safe space for discussions about mental health was commendable and your guidance in understanding various mental health conditions, recognising signs and learning appropriate response strategies has been immensely beneficial. The course content was comprehensive, enlightening and incredibly relevant.I’m walking away from this course equipped with not just knowledge, but also the confidence to offer support and assistance when needed.
Giano made the course very enjoyable considering it was a difficult course in terms of subject to deliver. I also liked the group being small so it was easier to be more vulnerable and open up.
She was very understanding and considerate of the learners feelings throughout ensuring we were alright despite talking about difficult and sometimes upsetting topics.
I wasn’t aware that this course existed. I am so glad to have completed this course and gained all the knowledge which will help me support more people with confidence and understanding. Giano was a amazing teacher very professional and answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. There was plenty of moments of pausing and taking a break implementing how important self care is and feeling okay with the content and making sure it wasn’t upsetting and triggering. I had very informative enjoyable sessions with Giano and would recommend this course to everyone in every workplace as its a very important skill to learn to help and support people of all ages and of diverse backgrounds. It’s important to learn more about mental health to break barriers and stigma and educate ourselves on what a vital key role we play as a mental health first aider in saving someone’s life and improving their health and wellbeing.
I took part in a 4 session course to help me understand menopause & its symptoms.
I am quite far down the road and wish I had known some of this information earlier! The workshops provided a safe & open space to discuss own issues aswell as listen to others. They were interactive and funny at times. Everyone had different experiences and were at different stages of their journey.
Mental health was important to me as sometimes I’ve thought I was going mad!!
I learnt about some supplements that could support too.
Overall an important course that all women (and men) need to raise awareness and understanding of this important part of our life the menopause journey.
Giano’s online menopause course has been a true lifeline for me. From week 1, where we began understanding the menopause, I felt seen and heard in ways I hadn’t expected because of the safe space we had created so share some of our own personal experiences with each other on this journey. Week 2 We looked into mental health, a topic that deeply resonated with me, because of the real life experience of many women who feel that their mental health was affected during their own menopause journey. Giano provided practical tools and advice to navigate this challenging time. Week 3’s focus was on nutrition, making healthier food choices, and managing cholesterol felt like a gentle nudge towards taking better care of myself. Week 4 the final week of the course we looked at the Importance of Sleep & Exercise understanding the reduction and impact of oestrogen and progesterone on the body. Giano provided practical advice, knowledge and tips.
What makes this course truly special is Giano’s approach. The interactive sessions, group discussions, and practical activities create a space that feels warm and supportive. We aren’t just learning; we’re sharing our stories, building connections, and supporting each other in such an uplifting way. This course has not only educated me but connected me with a beautiful community of women. I’m so grateful for Giano’s guidance—it has made this journey through menopause feel far less daunting and so much more empowering.
hank you Giano for the course
Being able to chat one to one about menopause issues with someone so knowledgeable, but who also really understood was incredibly useful, and also supportive.
There are so many aspects to the menopause that it can become rather overwhelming, so this course really broke it down into sections, in a cohesive manner, but also enabled me to talk freely and ask any questions which arose within the structure.
I found the information on the part played and the effects of all the less familiar hormones in menopause symptoms particularly interesting and useful.
The information on supporting mental health and nutrition was reassuring that I am doing most of the things I need to to support my own mental and physical health through this challenging time of life.
Still working on my sleep pattern!
I recently attended Giano’s Menopause Workshops, and I have to say, it was absolutely worth it! The course was packed with useful information that really opened my eyes to what’s happening in my body and how I can manage it better.
First off, the session on nutrition was super informative. Giano broke down what types of foods can actually help balance hormones and which ones might be making things worse. I left with a solid list of foods to add to my diet and some to cut back on, which was really helpful.
The part on supplements was great, too. I learned about things like magnesium, vitamin D, and omega-3s and how they can support overall well-being during menopause.
The workshops also covered the various physical symptoms—some of which I didn’t even realise were linked to menopause! They offered practical coping mechanisms for dealing with everything from hot flashes to sleep disturbances. It was comforting to know I’m not alone in experiencing these things, and I picked up some great tips that I’m already putting to use.
One of the most enlightening parts of the course was the discussion on the link between menopause and mental health. Giano explained how hormonal changes during menopause can impact mental well-being, leading to symptoms like anxiety, depression, and mood swings. It was reassuring to learn that these experiences are common and that there are strategies to help manage them. The workshops offered practical advice on how to support mental health during this transition, including mindfulness practices, exercise, and the importance of seeking support and help from your GP when needed.
Overall, the course was super informative, supportive, and practical. I left feeling much more confident about managing my menopause journey. If you’re going through menopause or just want to be prepared for when the time comes, I highly recommend signing up!
